Read Aloud and Act It Out (Grumpy Monkey)
During my Early Childhood Internship course (ECE 2407), I completed a midterm assignment where I implemented a ‘Read Aloud and Act It Out’ activity using the book Grumpy Monkey in a 3–5-year-old preschool classroom, Room #17. This was my first time leading a structured group activity, and it helped me grow in my ability to plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons. Based on feedback from my cooperating teacher, the children were highly engaged, and I communicated clearly and effectively while interacting with them. This experience strengthened my confidence and growth as an early childhood educator.
